He was great.
I also sort of respected his process for choosing roles had a lot to do with the weather as he would generally select warm weather shooting locations.......sometimes at the determent of the quality.
God bless ya.

Man that's crazy.. that's just down the street.

Possibly Carbon Monoxide poisoning?

Gene, his wife and their dog.

Gene was fantastic and one of the hardest working people in Hollywood.

I didn’t realize he was in his 90’s.

Thanks for the memories, Gene.

I think he was a great actor. My favorite movie that he starred in was Hoosiers, but he was excellent in many others. Rest in Peace, Mr Hackman.

Sad day. He was always one of my favorite actors. I'm curious as to what happened. Gas leak?
The first thing I ever do when I move into a place is disconnect the gas.
It's a rip off and they charge you a service fee even if you don't use any.

There's a reason why no one says, "That's cooking with electricity!"

Mississippi Burning, Hoosiers, and Unforgiven are in my top 20 favorite movies. He was an amazing actor. Sad story. RIP Lex and thank you for the memories!

Favorite quote from Mississippi Burning “An old man that was full of hate that he didn’t t know being poor is what was killing him”

RIP to one of the greats. In addition to the movies listed already, I loved Crimson Tide. The tension between him and Denzel Washington's character was palpable and omnipresent. Great movie.

My favorite stuff…

Poseidon Adventure, Bonnie and Clyde, Young Frankenstein, Superman, French Connection, The Conversation, Hoosiers, A Bridge too Far, The Firm, Unforgiven.

Gene was iconic.

I'm guessing that Gene died of natural causes at 94 and his wife may have committed suicide because they found pills spilled in the bathroom near her body.
Just my guess of course.
