Are you traditional and just do the ketchup thing, or are you an aristocrat of sorts? I remember being in Belgium, and it was the first time I was exposed to someone putting mayonnaise on their fries. In fact, that's the ONLY way they ate them. After that I kinda got hooked on tartar sauce with my fries, but I don't eat them anymore, so....

Ketchup or BBQ sauce. My mom will do mayo, started doing that in Europe, but I don't like it.

In some states they have Fry Sauce which is basically just ketchup and mayo mixed.

Yeah, I've tried that (insert any variation of) thousand island dressing thing.

Meh.

I also like BBQ sauce. I prefer a smoky BBQ Sauce as opposed to sweet though.
See, cause, I'm a connoisseur.

I like them, when I eat them which is rarely, with lots of blue cheese.

Years ago I used to travel to Montreal and Quebec City on biz. As a side note I highly recommend visiting Montreal. I was out with my customer and he ordered fries something or other and they came out in this delicious gravy and topped with chunks of cheese. Beer and fries are two things they do well up there lol.

I eat them with catsup but i salt it instead of the fries

ketchup originally. when i lived in germany changed to ketchup and mayo, still eat them like that. i love gravy and cheese fries also. I also love Denny's bacon n' chedder fries with ranch dressing. basically i love fries lol

I guess I'm pretty weird then. I hate sauces for the most part (except BBQ sauce with certain barbequed meats). I eat my fries plain.

Screw that K, I eat the fry the way the almighty would have gobbled the up... PLAIN! no salt, no mayo, just the fry, an nothing but the fry.

There are only a few kinds of fries that you can eat plain.
I don't know how many of you have an Arby's up by you, but their curly fries are the shit.

I eat all of my fries plain, no matter the kind.

And that's pretty ironic, seeing as I just bought Arby's about an hour ago. I had the potato cakes as a side. Unhealthy as hell, but they're really good.

Man I miss Arbys. They have the best sammiches (and fries) in the world.

Eat my fries plain. That is when I eat plain fries.

I have lunch at Arby's 3 times a week, with curly fries. Just the Classic though with Arby's sauce.

Tater Tots are the only things I'll eat plain.
Gotta have salt, pepper and onion powder on them though.

Back when I used to eat them, that is.

Fries with gravy and cheese curds is called Poutine.

Very popular in my neck of the woods!

Me; Ketchup! Crispy fries with salt and Ketchup!

I like them plain or with ketchup.

But the pièce de résistance is eating them with the McDonald's Sweet and Sour sauce that they have for their McNuggets

Depends on where I'm eating -- typically, I just eat them as is without dipping them in anything (I'll throw some extra salt on, if they're lacking).

But Arby's is the exception -- curly fries in Horsey Sauce is the shizznit! Try it sometime -- damn tasty.

HAVE to eat my fries with hot sauce. Tapatio is my favorite. Rarely do I ever eat them with ketchup. If I go to a wing place, i'll dip them in the wing sauce or occasionally dip them in ranch..mmm.
