Almost every week is a gem, but there are a few particularly juicy matchups that I’m going to be watching with heightened interest, if possible.

The Chiefs game will provide an opportunity to see Watkins vs Peters/Talib. Will the “real” Watkins show up? The All World Watkins that we had all hoped to see last year? Or will our new CB’s sorta shut him down? Can’t wait for the board posts the week before that game.

The Eagles game will be a huge measuring stick. Depending on how the Rams matchup vs the defending SB champions will tell us where we are on the playoff pecking order. Can’t wait.

The Vikings with Cousins is probably the other most stern test. Vikes are another complete team and a win would be a HUGE confidence builder. This looks like a real knock down, drag out contest much like these two teams had many times back in the day.

Finally, that Saint game in their dome should be a tremendous game. Yet another complete Saint team and with that overwhelming hfa? Whew! Our O and our D will both be stressed to their limits, no doubt.

I was gonna leave it at 4 games but I’m human and I’ve gotta be honest. I want to see the Rams CRUSH the Niners. Twice. I would be exhilarated to see the Niners and their fans humiliated by the Rams. Enough with the Garoppolo worship, already. Lol.

Those are my biggest “can’t wait” games. What are yours?

My mouth and the beer bottles.

Seriously though, the one I'm most looking forward to is the December Sunday night game at home against the Eagles. The build up of Goff vs Wentz is going to be tremendous, but I think that our team as a whole is better than anything the Eagles has to offer. But that's only on paper, as there is a reason the game is played on the field.

Another way to look at the schedule is through the QBs:

@Carr
Bradford
Rivers
Cousins
@Wilson
@Keenum
@Garrapolo
Rodgers
@Brees
Wilson
Mahomes
@Stafford
@Trubisky
Wentz
@Bradford's back up
Garrappolo

Carr, Cousins, Stafford are all around Goff's level IMO.

Bradford, Keenum, and Garrappolo are below Goff's level IMO, but have shown potential and could get there.

Wilson just doesn't do much against the Rams, so I'll put him in his own category.

Mahomes, Trubisky and Bradford's back up are all well below Goff's level.

Rivers, Rodgers, Brees and Wentz are all above.

Overall my favorite match up will be the Packers at home I think. This secondary/defense going up against the best QB in the NFL will be fun.

Last year we got somewhat lucky with the QBs we faced. This year looks tougher - but it's hard to be too worried with our secondary.

I'm going with week #1 @ dah Raiders!

It's the first game; 1st chance to see the new and improved Rams.

Last Rams game ever in Oakland.

Monday Night return after a long, long drought.

John Gruden's 1st game back coaching NFL.

And, lastly, McVay taking on his mentor Gruden.

Our man Goff is still ascending. Rivers is good, but erratic. Rodgers is coming off an injury. Brees may begin to show his age, and Wentz is coming off an injury also, and has tremendous talent, but relies on his mobility. I am actually not willing to concede ANY of this. :cool:

Do we know it’s the last game in Oakland? Are they playing in Vegas before the stadium is built there?

I'm assuming it's the last game in Oakland, since the Rams would be a home game if they play again in 3 years based on the NFL'S schedule rotation. I'm not 100% sure having said that.

Da Raider's for all the reasons give, and especially because ALL THE FAN'S OUT THERE WHO ARE L.A.RAMS FAN'S AND L.A.RAIDER FAN'S will finally have to make up there minds who they really want to route for!! it's "Chuckie vs McVay/Phillips"!!

The vikings game will be my 1st live Rams game not played in SF so I guess I will start with that one. But to be honest I have always looked most forward to the next game, regardless of who the Rams are playing.

The off season drags on for so loooong that just making it from 1 week to the next is hard as hell after that 1st taste of preseason Rams football.

I still don't by the Wentz is better than Goff crap. Didn't the fact that a washed up QB winning the SB prove to anybody that Wentz has been benefiting from his environment as much or more than Goff, for the last 2 years. They are different and each has their strengths and weaknesses, but I can't put Wentz in the Rivers, Rodgers, Brees category and certainly don't think he is better than Goff.

Always the niners games. The Vikings, Eagles, Kansas City and Saints will be our biggest test. Captain Obvious, I know. So those are the ones I look forward to the most.

I'd go with Goff over Wentz any day of the week! Look at last years stats. Goff out performed Wentz in most categories. Wentz has more touchdowns, but Wentz didn't have Gurley, etc. as options that can score. I'm sick of all the Wentz love...

Only because of all the unearned respect the Niners get because of a former back up QB from New England that they now have as a starter, they are #1 on the hit list. Followed by 2a and 2b in the Chargers and the Hawks. I want the cr@p the Charger's and there fans are talking, STUFFED HARD! And the Hawks? Well, I just like a repeat of 42-7 in LA.
