Rams Request Permission To Interview Eric DeCosta, Ravens Director Of Player Personnel, For GM Position per Pro Football Talk

Thanks X! LOL....

Man, I hope he followed Ozzie like a hawk in Baltimore.

I think you beat me by 1/10 of a second.

It's an interesting story for sure.

.

that would be a great move. the ravens sure know how to draft players and that's half the challenge of building a strong team.

.

I love how the Ravens draft, but would DeCosta keep the 4-3 that we have now?

That's my only concern, though. If he does, this hire would be awesome.

@jthom1 Jim Thomas
Rams to interview Atlanta director of player personnel Les Snead, Baltimore director of player personnel Eric DeCota for general manager job

Ravens.... :amped: :amped: :amped: :amped:

They are a smart org, tho. Gotta give them credit where its due.

Snead?? Don't know much about him. We'll see.

That's a legit concern, however, I don't think that is the GM's call. I think Fisher would keep it a 4-3 and the GM would have to draft 4-3 players.

Agreed that it is the coach's decision as to the scheme implemented, however I think it maybe reasonable to suspect he would have a unconscious bias in player evaluation towards players with a 3-4 skill set.

Nonetheless the I would still support the hire. The Ravens are the kind of team I want to see in StL

Well, minus all the smack talk.

I wouldn't want to see them all emotionally invested vs. say, Seattle and then the next week lose to a scrub team like Tampa.
