I remember a while ago there was a thread talking about old pubs. I'm back in Ireland for a little while and was walking around Kilkenny when I stopped in a little pub off the road. Established in the 1300s, there's some pretty cool history behind the pub. The original owner was sentenced to be burned for witchcraft, one of the first times in Europe and was snuck out of the country.

Nice!!! Love old style irish pubs. Never been to Ireland but want to some day. Me and my friend have been wanting to for years.

Try any Kilkennys yet? I'd think theyd have some in Kilkenny lol

Awesome! And they still have the original bowl of pretzels. Drink a stout for each of us.

I did, and it is good! The factory isn't far from where I'm staying, so it's about as fresh as you can get. I haven't been here in years, but it's great. My girlfriend pointed out that every morning all you see is beer being delivered to all the different pubs. Truck loads of kegs, it's pretty funny really.

That is nice.

I had a pitcher of beer on monday, at a bar that was recently remodeled because it looked twenty years old.
Now the place looks like a corporate bar and grill. They fuck ed it up.
