With the division locked up what do you do with the starters. I’m a big believer of going into the playoff Strong but you always have to be worried about injuries in a meaningless game. So what to do??

a) Rest almost all starters and play a very physical Panther team at home
b) Or go into the playoffs tired, but play a Falcon team that may not be as good, but certainly can beat the Rams.
Don't count out Dallas or Seattle.

In a gamblin' mood, I would rest every start and play Carolina at home with a "two" week rest.
They should be fresh, and be able to have a good pass rush.

The WHOLE D line, excepting Quinn seems tired...maybe I am wrong.

I don't think McVay will do 'my plan'.....lol

We have to beat the Whiners. Isn't it a throwback game?

Also, the #3 seed plays the #6 seed. That's looking to be Atlanta, Seattle or Dallas. Fourth seed plays fifth seed, and I don't really want any part of Carolina right now.

You have to play to win, and that means playing the best players.
As the game goes by, if we're comfortably up then rest some.
I disagree it's a meaningless game as we need the momentum through into the playoffs.
Ficken finished the game well so hopefully that's done him good.

But do we want homefield advantage because it’s not truly a advantage

The fans will want a home playoff game at the very least. We have played some of our best ball as Road Warriors. The fans deserve at least one game to shout themselves hoarse.

The Horns, the 'Aints, & the Panthers are respectively the NFC #3, #4, & #5 seeds---all tied at 11-4. If the Rams rest their starters and essentially surrender next weekend to the '9ers, we could drop to the #5 seed and lose our home field edge on Wild Card Weekend.

I would prefer that we start fast & furious against 'Frisco and run up the score by halftime. Start pulling the starters out in the third quarter and hold onto the lead to sweep the '9ers this season.
