Do Rams Deserve to Make the Playoffs?

This thought occurred to me as I watched the Bills (and the refs) impart their will on our defense.

Then I realized, they:
  • beat the Vikings (11-1 not counting Rams)
  • beat the Bills (10-2 not counting Rams)
  • were an OT coin flip away from beating the Lions (11-1 not counting Rams)
So I can forget about the Cardinals and Eagles games and ask the rest of the NFL: Who from the bubble teams is MORE WORTHY than us?

If they make the playoffs it's going to be because they went 9-3, at worst, after a 1-4 start that was mostly due to injuries.

That would be a very worthy playoff team and a team that the top seeds would hate to see in round 2.

But what about the Dolphins?

In the NCAA that would be a textbook "Bad loss,"...

If they qualify of course they deserve to make the playoffs. Bears and Dolphins were bad losses and they didn't show up vs Arizona. However as the team got healthy and the O Line jelled, this team probably would keep opposing D Coordinators up at night. As far as Buffalo moving up and down the field on the defense it was hard not to notice just how good and what a weapon Josh Allen was. McVay seemed in awe. Don't remember him calling anybody else an alien before. BTW the Rams stuffing them at the goal line on their last TD probably cost them home field and maybe the SB. I said it when it happened in the game thread.

Seriously. If the rams give it their best shot and lose then that's life. But when the offense was so putrid in both games, it leaves a bad feeling in your soul for some reason.

The Rams d isn't good enough to carry the team the whole game. They did their best in both games but when the offense failed to get out of neutral they just couldn't finish the game off.

If the offense plays lights out for the rest of the season then all will be forgiven.

We might make the playoffs, but our defense is not good enough to take us all the way.

And our offense is very inconsistent.

We are several pieces away from being a real contender.

We are good enough to beat any team, except maybe the Eagles.

But we are NOT good enough to beat three playoff teams in a row to even get to the SB.

Not this years team. Could be different next year if we nail both FA and the draft.

You know, I haven't heard anyone mention this until you. Why not? Thinking about it now, stuffing Allen the "Alien" on the goal line was fricking awesome! Defense should have got more pub it!

The 2021 team was LOADED with talent, and it took a lot of luck to win the SB. I'm not going to get my hopes up only to let them let me down inevitably. I watch because I want to see our young players develop, and see some magic from Stafford. IMO, next year is the year we have a real chance, but only if we nail the draft and FA. You can drink the koolaid and be delusional all you want.

I have another BTW, let's say the Rams end up 10-7 and don't win the division. That Commodes hail Mary might be the play that keeps the Rams from being a WC. Without it the Comanders would be 7-6 right now.

The only one acting like a miserable sack is you. We all are allowed to have an opinion....sick of you bitching about everyone who doesn't "fan" like you do!
