That'll be interesting. He'd be a nice addition here.

Dez's production in the last couple years 2015 - 2017 was around 700 yards and 50 catches per season.

He will cost a ton less no long term money tied up into him he actually would be a great signing. He is not OBJ anymore, but a sold big bodied receiver who in our offense gets 850 yards and 50-60 catches for a fraction of the cost of Sammy and OBJ.

Now I am not advocating Dez over OBJ kets be clear, bexaube OBJ is a long term play as a #1 receiver and we all know how hard that is to consistently find in the NFL.

Hes limited in his route tree and has slowed down some but he'll do good in our offense in this role with the other weapons we possess.

Better than giving up potentially Landry in the first this year and other picks or players for OBJ in LA? Dont trust that for a second.

Yeah, it sounds like he's slowed down.

They aren't cutting him, that's just speculation from Jordan Schultz that they will.

Even if it does happen, it may not be until after June 1.

If he’s still wanting superstar money obviously its a no but if he’s come down to earth about where he’s at physically and wanting to win I say we do it

And if he is cut - he likely would want to stick it to the Cowboys, say by playing for a winner in the NFC like the Rams. Play for a year, rebuild his value in a high octane offense, and then go free agent (and maybe help the Rams to another draft pick)

Hell no on Dez. We don't need a heading downhill backup...he forgot how to catch as well!

Dez never was a “speed” guy and he certainly isn’t now, so what is his role? We have guys who can work the middle right now, guys with better hands who run better routes. If Dez has to get targets from Kupp or even Everett then no thanks.

Aren't teams allowed to designate a June 1 cut no matter when they cut the player?

.

Honestly the debate in my mind.

OBJ or Dez?....

OBJ to me sounds objective. Yeah.

Dez on the other hand?....Damn, honestly Dez over OBJ anyday; if feasible though...

Think about it. Dez takes up multiple responsibilities, and is diverse as hell. He is what the Kenny Brits and Brian Quicks should of been; master of your craft. Hell if Calvin Johnson came out of retirement just to sign with the Rams a year; I'd say we haaxed the entire NFL. Hah

If we can get Dez instead of OBJ, not only will we get him for no draft picks, but it wouldnt affect the compensatory formula for us getting our two 3rds. Much, much rather go this route.
Trading for OBJ wouldn’t affect comp picks either
