IMO Cleveland took their first big step to respectability. Let DePodesta or somebody else handle the contracts, like we do with Demoff, because IIRC some of his contracts were his downfall. But let him handle the draft and free agency. Keep Hue running the team. Add a QB at #1 finally that won't flop (we hope) some secondary help with their other 1st. A RB and WR in the 2nd and shore up both lines with the rest of their bounty of picks. And Cleveland will turn it around fast.

WTF, I guess the sun hits the dogs ass once in awhile.... Great hire honestly

I would go QB & LT in Rd 1. Lets Joe Thomas coach him up

Good hire but they have that other clown with his baseball metrics BS in the room too and a moron of an owner. Will Dorsey and Jackson be enough? Hard to say man.

IF Dorsey guts the scouting department and restacks the whole thing, then they might be ok. But their problems run deep.

Who's Dorsey? Why is he a good Hire?

Former GM of the Chiefs 2013-2016 basically built this current team including trading up for Mahomes, a concept the Browns need to adopt getting a QB at any cost. Prior to that he was head scout and player personnel director for the Packers. Usually considered one of the better talent evaluators in the NFL.

I hope it works out. It is past time for Browns fans to have something to be excited about.

Thanks for Info On Dorsey!!!

Don't know how they pulled that off. Dorsey must have contractual assurances that he has final say (and not Haslam).

I concur, I believe Dorsey was handcuffed in Kansas City, however, I like the hire for the Browns and I am sure Dorsey ensured he had total autonomy. My apologies to Head Coach Hue Jackson as it has now been reported he wanted to draft Wentz in 2016 & Watson this year, but was overruled by Farmer Brown.

Off topic but I'd love it if the Rams adopted the horns in your avy

It's a nice avatar, however, looks like Jumbo Shrimp to me.

If he has final say I could see that being highly intriguing to a GM. They've got a shit ton of picks and cap space. And the Browns have been soooooo bad you basically are given a blank slate to do what you want. Cut the whole damn team if you want because no one has any expectations. Cleveland might actually be on a path to respectability if ownership stays out of his way.

If they get their QB selection right, they could become a dominant team in the next few years if not sooner. A lot like the Rams in recent years, talent on D, offense needs a QB and a few pieces. In fact they have more offensive talent than the Rams had in recent years...just need a QB.

I guess Kevin Costner wasn’t available? He did great in that movie

Well if Dorsey off the bat doesn’t have say in who the HC is, I’d say the tenure is already off to a bad start
