There was definitely some bad blood in the locker room and King probably had some to do with it. Particularly with Crabs. Internal "battles" and drama within the locker room regardless of who is right or wrong will not be tolerated as it takes away from the ultimate goal of the team which is to win games.
Sure, you don't have to like each other but you have to be professional about it. Going to social media with petty bullshit is not being professional.

This guy was a huge weapon. Hopefully this doesn’t bite us in the ass down the road. He flipped field position many times. Don’t think some people understand the importance of a good punter because we have been spoiled with leckler and now King.

I don't think this was necessarily because he was a distraction, though that was probably an issue based on his social media presence, but rather because of how he conducted himself on the field. He was a talented punter, and could consistently pin the opponent behind the 20; he was also liable to get penalized, which is the very last thing I think that Gruden will tolerate from a solely special-teams player.
Some of you can try to fool yourselves into thinking he was average-or-below-average, but his talent was not a question here. The team will be receiving a downgrade at punter. Hopefully we can capitalize on the cap savings in a position elsewhere.
