I did a little bit, and what those two people did to their own children is beyond belief.

It's simply inexplicable.

They just got sentenced, and I am floored that they got life with the possibility of parole in 25 years for what they did to 13 children is a comparative slap on the wrist. They should be put to death, or life behind bars.

I just don't understand that sentence at all.

Well... David is 57 and Louise is 50.

25 years will pretty much amount to a death sentence for both of those animals in prison. I doubt they live that long with the other inmates they'll be surrounded by. Nobody tolerates child abusers.

Still it was a strange sentencing don't you think? I suppose it possible there is a law on the books in California that requires that kind of clause but when I read it my fisrt thought was that there is no parole board that would ever let them out.

And when it comes to child abuse these two are of another order altogether. 13 children that were their own, these are really monsters.

They're sick motherfuckers. I hope to fate that they get offed in prison, but they'll probably get protection because of their infamous status.

Those children were lucky one of their sisters escaped and got help.
The family was getting ready to move to Texas I believe. Possibly to a much rural area.

Just because they'll be eligible for parole if they're still alive... doesn't mean it will be granted. These animals will be treated the way they deserve to be.

How would these people get paroled?

What would they say during their hearing?

Their 40 year old kids would probably show up and prevent that!

Good lord Les....Death? Really? And inflict more trauma on the kids?

We don’t kill people in America because Les Baker gets offended. There has to be an applicable crime to get to that penalty phase.

A life sentence is basically a 20 year sentence so ...25 is one helluva sentence with no firearms or attempted murder involved.

Applicable crime?

Do you know what they did?

IMO that's an applicable crime.

Yeah it’s pretty awful stuff what we do know, and I’m afraid we may never find out 90% of what we don’t know.

To have a 29 year man allow himself to be chained to a bed and never figure out that escape is critical, is mind blowing.

I hope they make a movie out of this. I know that sounds wierd but the proceeds should go to the kids. I fear the oldest ones may never be adjusted to society and they could use the money.

I listened to the snippets of recordings of a couple of the kids talking about how they were already moving on and were relieved and happy. But for sure out of 13 some will have troubles for the rest of their lives.

Oddly enough, they may even come in and defend their parents by then.

That's why it's so bad. That's all that 29 year old man knows.
These 2 "parents" completely destroyed the childhood and adulthood of their own 13 kids.
The same 2 people that are suppose to guide them and protect them.
Kidnappers have treated their victims better than these 2 pricks.

I'm with Les as far as being ok with the death penalty. Even though it's not going to happen, or ever was in the cards. It wouldnt upset me at all to see them hung.

Is it moral high-ground? Or is it merely being disgusted by what they've done? If you don't know this case, please refrain from condemning us for our moral high-ground.

One kid already has. But, there's many kids so hopefully enough of them could help ruin any parole.
