They mentioned this is his contract year. He played at USC and may want to come home. Not what he used to be, but still above avg and might be more affordable since his play has fallen off a bit.

Might be a good stop gap abswer 9n the edge until the Rams can find a young stud outside rusher.

I hope not. Draft is where I would like to see Les Snead improve this defense. Get a young stud OLB and a corner to upgrade our depth at a minimum, and a NT to replace Suh.

This draft is going to be full of big guys who can move on the DL btw, much like last year's. Don't be surprised if the Rams "finish" that 3-4 conversion project with this next class.

Above average is generous. Packers fans have been riding him all year. He doesn't look good to me. I don't see us pursuing him. IMO, it's more likely we go after Shaquil Barrett or Shane Ray from Denver. I think Barrett will be high on our list of priorities if he's reasonably priced.

Why? I honestly don't think he's that much better than Connor Barwin or Chris Long at this point in his career. Just all effort and hustle, not much explosiveness or power left.

I thought this same thing @jjab360 While we are on the topic I wouldn't be shocked if another Trojan returns home. Jeff Fisher to USC

I guess i have not watched him closely enough the last few years... but yeah, was thinking a better version of Barwin for a year or two.

About the same chance as he plays for the vet minimum while not being guaranteed snaps.

With our future cap situation no way we pick up FA additions unless they are cheap asf but offer a lot of value. We are building these positions through the draft and by re-signing a lot of these players on offense this off season we can focus on the D for a bit next off season.

Fuck. No. That over rated, long haired prick can go rot in Buffalo or something. Players like him is why we have ridiculous QB protection rules these days.

The most memorable performances lately by Matthews have taken place in State Farm TV commercials with Aaron Rodgers.
No thnaks

Okay then.... I guess we can bury this thread. LOL!!

Clay Matthews is the answer to the question that was never asked by anyone ever: "What if Fabio played football?"

Seriously, though - dude is in his 13th season, with his best years behind him. No thanks.

Clay Matthews is a shell of his former self at this point. Would rather groom one on the draft or pick a different FA that would sign for less
