I've managed to throw gutter balls with the kiddy rails up. Multiple times. Seriously.

I suck at it. The only thing I really enjoy about bowling is that there's a full bar in the alley near me and they do the Midnight bowling thing. That's were they turn the lights way down and have the colored pins... when a colored pin pops up in the front, you win cash if you throw a strike.

Lol, yeah midnight bowling can be pretty fun. I have to admit, I've never heard or seen a gutter ball with the bumpers up. That's pretty impressive :fighting:

I used to take my son bowling when he was around 5 0r 6, and I swear he could bank the ball about 11 times before it hit the pins. He would always swing the ball (with both hands) right into the bumper and that thing would just pinball down the alley for a full minute. I wish now, that I had recorded some of those outings.

My teammate bowled back to back 300 games and a 279 in the 3rd game, during league play back in 1992. He was 6'5" tall and weighed around 450 lbs. His nick name was Squeek.
 
I used to bowl. Been a while. I wasn't all that accurate. Spares were tough for me. Finesse was never a strong point of mine when it comes to sports. I'm more of a power guy. I once bowled 5 strikes in one game and still didn't reach 100.
