They do, Stafford just doesnt have time to throw when hes on his ass in 2 seconds.
4.6 players are easy to cover when you won't run the ball and cannot stretch the field at all.

then it all went back to shit.
the last two games have been some of the ugliest offense i've seen in the mcvay era with an actual nfl qb starting for them.
mcvay and stafford both need to get their heads out of their arses.
we can't keep blaming the oline every week.

Well we CAN blame the fact of the Oline was starting to kinda mesh and mcvay ripped it out from the rookie, because Jonah and Steve came back. I understand Avlia getting back in the line up but Jonah, not so much. he hasnt proved anything. Limmer won the Center job by default. He should be locked in there and Dotson and Hav are set too. Put Jonah,Dieich, Noteboom on a rotation until one of them can prove they are worth it, if not dieich wins that.
Dotson,Avila,Limmer, and Hav should be set.

Pass protect and those two are fine as threats to move the chains all day long. Fail to pass protect and it just doesn't fucking matter.
This line today was garbage. And I'm not happy with the way Stafford played either, but at this point the dude is getting up there in age and has to be protected. This is basic shit.

I would say since we traded Brandon Cooks. He dropped some contested balls but more importantly he stretched the fields and opened things up underneath.

This is all BS in my opinion, Tutu can stretch the field the fact was that Stafford had like 2 seconds to get rid of the ball before he was taking a hit. The offensive line was simply not good enough, Jonah Jackson looked like he was not in game shape and was sweating like a pig 6 minutes into the 3rd quarter.

I appreciate Tutu, Robinson, and Johnson but none of them are any sort of answer.
I like Whit but the dude hasn't available and probably isn't any more than another JAG.
I appreciate the TEs but they are all ineffective in the pass game.
We badly require some young dogs in this offense. And a damn OL.
If McVay and Snead can't fix that they might as well move Stafford to hasten the rebuild of this offense.

I'd go after two receivers in this class, one early, one late. Luther Burden III would solve so many issues; he's as physical as Kupp and Nacua, while providing burner speed. Only reason I could see him fall to us is because of his nagging injuries this year (and extreme quarterback ineffectiveness this year as well), but I'd pounce on him, given the chance. I love Whittington, but LB3 would be the X receiver we need (and I still think Whittington - and Davis Allen, for that matter; as far as I'm concerned, he's won the job over Parkinson and Long) has untapped potential).
And I know this is going to sound so unpopular, but...Kupp. The elephant in the room. One of the few tradeable assets we have. As much as we'd all wish he could stay, the Rams cannot afford to pay him as much as he's making to be ineffective - and I guarantee that Nacua, Turner, Avila, and possibly Young (depending on how they view his age) and possibly Evans (depending on if they're willing to keep the punter) are going to get extensions soon. Nacua getting a well-earned extension is the key reason I'm trading Kupp for a second, if I'm McSnead.
They cannot move Stafford. This quarterback class is a walking disaster that just gets worse and worse. So, give him protection on the line - preferably a swing tackle/future left/right tackle - receivers and a tight end who can stretch the field (maybe that's a third-round pick? Or first; I think Tyler Warren's shot up into first round consideration after the year he's had, and McVay might look at him.), and keep a solid backfield of K-Will, Corum, and Schrader.
It's not going to be easy, and there's going to be bumps in the road...but I have faith in this team, as always, and I never feel it'll be misplaced with the coach and GM we have.

Those two aren’t dynamic enough. Only time I could remember McVays offense being exciting when we still had Gurley, Watkins, Woods, and a healthy Higbee. All McVay has is Kupp and Nacua and its so damn predictable to what is to come. He fails to use other tools in his arsenal and it can be quite annoying.

I mean, they still had 16 catches and 178 yards between the two of them. We're moving the ball just failing in the redzone. A combination of missed opportunities (Stafford all but guaranteed TD to Kyren not taken), Stafford having people in his face instantly (probably led to previous issue), and dumbass mistakes essentially beating ourselves (high snap, fumbles) were the main cause of our issues. If we take away one of those three problems we probably win.

Tutu jet sweeps, throw the ball up for DRob to snag, proper useage of a TE could all make our Red Zone conversions much better…

It was blatantly obvious that the mass change on the offensive line was a huge mistake...AND IT COST THEM...that's the bottom line. Everything was out of sync...run blocking and passing...so once again the importamce of the OLine loomed large!!!

What we saw was 3 rusty Olineman thrown into the fire vs a hungry desperate Dolphins front that was fighting for their season.
The pressure Stafford faced not only killed the entire first half but then affected his timing forcing him to rush passes.
This is the variable so many people overlook. Until a QB has several snaps where his Oline is holding up in pass pro, his internal clock is going to be set to hurry each pass. Sometimes even when the Oline settles down the QB can still be affected for several quarters extending into future games.
This is why Stafford missed Kyren for the easy TD, and several other plays.
The line started settling in around the 4th quarter but at that point the margin for error was too small.
The WR advantage is erased when the Oline is unstable.

It's sad to me how one loss causes some to denegrate those celebrated just a week ago. Puka just had the greatest rookie season of all time. Kupp recently won the Triple Crown, and Stafford is one of the best pure passers of his generation. But yeah, they all suddenly lost it...the sky has fallen. Offensive line play is just an excuse to cover for such a terrible lack of passing talent.
