So. The family is finally getting out of Alaska on a much needed vacation. Hawaii...you ask? Nope. Wife booked us flights to visit relatives in Chicago 10/16 to 10/24.

Whille looking at the map (mischievous smile forming) I realize Chicago is (in Alaska scale) VERY close to St. Louis.

For $250 bucks I can catch a flight to Lou arriving at 9am, and flight back to Chicago to reunite with family at 8:20pm.

Seahawks vs Rams at the Lou? Could it be that easy?

Anybody know what seats are looking like for that game? Are cab rides an arm and a leg from Airport to downtown?

This could happen. Good sweet talking to wife will be essential to success of plan.

metrolink from airport to Lacledes Landing are like $5.00 I think..have to ask someone from STL for more info

Major League Kissing-up may be required, But I have confidence in you Bro!! ( If all else fail's, try the guilt trip, something like " after all these years.. you don't Love me no more!" Hey, If it works for women, why not us guys!:ROFLMAO:)

The Metro Link train from Lambert goes to The Ed or very close and would be way less than a cab fare, probably ride for what you'd tip the cabby.
As far as tickets go ,there are always scalpers outside but since you are coming that far I'd go on the NFL ticket exchange.
I'll be there got some pretty pricey ticks face value $324 ,got them for 1K for 4 seats (club ) with on field privileges starting at 10AM,grandson is gonna have lot of autographs.

I like what you're laying down.
I need a few more of these "solutions", so i can comb through them and select the best option.

The subway will take you from the airport to the dome and back very easily and very cheaply.

But tickets from a scalper, there are tons and you can get seats below face value. Just bring a seating chart and wait until fans start pouring into the stadium, they get itchy to sell when that happens.

Nice! I live a little northwest of the Chicago area. Last time I drove down to STL it took just about 5 hours so it's not too far at all. There was one time that I took a flight from O'Hare to STL and the flight only took 45 minutes. Crazy how quick we got there.

Hope you're able to pull it off and catch the game. That would be an awesome vacation!

We have a winner.
Used a slightly modified version of this:
"Honey, How much do you love me?"

It was a line she's used on me many times.

So my flight is booked. I'll be in St. Louis 9 am to 8pm. I'll be taking the Metro Link to and from game. Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Now I'm on NFL ticket exchange. There are so many seats available.
Thinking about one of the club seats. Fairly reasonable.

Quick question though:

I fly between O'hare and Lambert a couple times a year to head home for the holidays. 85$ per way if you get them about 2 weeks in advance.

That was a game that I was seriously thinking of trying to fly up for. I'm not going to say that it's out of the question yet... but it's probably not going to happen. I'm still a possibility though.

I'll definitely let you know if I end up making the trip.

That will be a great little side trip! Yeah metro will take you from the airport to the convention center station for $5 round trip and its just a block away from the dome. Hopefully it will be a great victory too!
