So, my wife and her girl friend, a builder, have bought a condo, remodeled it and listed it on Airbnb. They've had some bookings and are pretty happy with it.

Request comes in today - "Good afternoon, I'm interested in booking the space for a boudoir shoot. It wouldn't be overnight, just from 9AM to 6PM"

Have some friends who have had a boudoir photo shoot.

Very tasteful photos from what I have seen.

Not some dirtbag photog doing pics for Hustler

I say book it

Rhody is right... those Boudoir photos are normally very tasteful.

I wonder though... maybe they're just saying it's Boudoir... when it's actually going to be full blown porn vids being filmed. Those Boudoir studios are usually set up with all kinds of lights and props... they're not carrying all the equipment around for that kind of shoot I wouldn't think. I smell a rat.

Does this condo of yours have some kind of extremely interesting background to offer for these photos? If not... I'm betting they want to use it for something much more than Boudoir shots.

Sounds fishy. Why go on location to some random house? Is the house furnished or empty. If it's empty why shoot their? I voted to do it but I reconsidered after reading Salassie's post.

That was my response...have the cleaning crew ready!

The random house? maybe the pics are for a side man (prospective guest was a woman)

Furnished

Airbnb seems to vet these guests and hosts pretty well, so it's a legit customer whose credit card will be charged.

No interesting background...suburban area.

I thought it might be some kind of cheating wife scenario if not legit.

You might be right.

Just struck me as kinda funny when she asked what I thought.

I fucking hate AirBnB!!
I’ve never had a bad experience in one.
I only book them if it saves me money.
The owners have varied from very chill (included a fridge fully stocked.....I mean full fully stocked with booze) to uptight.
But, I’m not a messy traveler....I even collect the used towels together and make sure there is no mess left in a hotel room.
A couple places the neighborhood was a little sketchy (Vegas) but as long as there is parking it’s fine.
Last one was a large lodge styled house at Lake Tahoe large enough for 13 people to fit comfortably.
I’ve had many more bad experiences in hotels.
Air BnB is fine by me.

This was the AirBnB we stayed at in Vermont a few years ago.

Stayed in two during a week in Colorado over the summer.

Had to get away from home but could social distance, visit parks and just hang out.

Really nice farm house and a cabin like the one in your photo @RhodyRams except at 9300 ft in a meadow.

Had a bear cub run through the back yard at the farm house.

Each had to have a grill so that I could cook a steak instead of eating out.

I'm used to business travel but becoming a fan of the Airbnb deal for personal travel.

We've done a lot of RBO but not AirBnB. Probably about the same thing. We've had great experiences and they have all been very nice, large, fully equipped kitchens, and cheaper than a decent hotel room.

The wife has another Airbnb client that is the photographer for boudoir shoots.

So, turned down the first one and booked this one. The photog is trying to book several clients so that the expense is covered.

We shall see how it goes.

It sounds as though she, the photographer, will want to book it again, too.

I‘m keeping my involvement at arms length here. I put new locks on the doors...satin nickel on dark wood looks good, but otherwise it’s her deal with a girlfriend.

If it’s interesting, I’ll post it.
