Whenever the Rams are playing good ball Donald is leading the charge.
Whenever they need a little extra from him, he gives it to them.
Whenever they need a clutch defensive play, something to change momentum or just close the game out, Donald delivers.

The best Ram.

I think guys like AD get to a point where the league doesn’t appreciate what they do week in week out. The Jordan scenario, where they just expect greatness. So when another player shows a high level of play they reward that player over the guy who is clearly the best player.

It feels that way this year. The league is really pushing Watt and Parsons from Dallas.

They are both good players, but IMHO not game changers like AD.

Earlier in the season I believed he had started to decline, it was slight, but it looked to me that he wasn't quite what he had been.

The last 4 weeks, he's been as good as ever. Amazing.

Maybe I was just seeing things, but I'm glad I was wrong.

He should have had his fourth DPOY already. They passed over him for that award in 2019 when he was regularly being doubled-, tripled-, and even quadrupled-teamed all season! What other player gets quadrupled-teamed in the entire NFL, in NFl history!?! Who has ever even seen or heard of such a thing before!?! If a guy is getting quadrupled-teamed, he should be automatically given the DPOY and the MVP awards by default!!!

AD99: "I'm just getting warmed up! Aaron (Rodgers)!, prepare to get used to that frozen tundra this coming NFC Championship because that's where I'll be parking your smug behind a few times!!!"

Voter fatigue is his biggest challenge.

He's still, clearly, the best and most impactful defender in the NFL. Watt getting injured late in the season is putting a hamper on that.. .if Donald has two more big games? Tops 15 sacks? He should get it.

If he gets 15+ sacks, then he also goes over 100 sacks for his career...

I will admit sometimes I take Aaron Donald for granted. I have to stop doing that. Kyler Murray is scared of #99, diving into the turf after every interaction. Over the years, players like Deacon, Merlin, Jack Youngblood, Kevin Greene & Aaron Donald, not too bad and there are many others.

I had been feeling the same way, but he HAS been amazing of late. Funny how all of a sudden the defense is getting stingy and points have been hard to come by when it comes to our opponents’ offense.
